Nik: Type 3C diabetes and the Libre

In September last year I had my pancreas and spleen removed due to a genetic disease I was diagnosed with in March 2021. Having my pancreas removed means I now have type 3c diabetes (similar to type 1).

Due to my genetic disease I have a lot of health challenges which have made controlling my diabetes extremely difficult.

In December I was able to trial the Libre sensor and it helped with managing my health and released some anxiety about my diabetes.

If CGMs were funded it would help me with control and allow myself time to work through my ongoing health problems.
