I have been using a Freestyle Libre CGM now for almost 2 years. As a pensioner, it has been a challenge to afford the $50/wk cost but the benefits of on-demand blood glucose information make it a priority in our budget and justifies the sacrifice.

I’m a 74 year-old type 1 diabetic who has been managing my condition now for over 25 years. Besides obviating the inconvenience of finger pricking, the CGM has led to significant improvement in my blood glucose control with HbA1c readings now at 43 mmol/mol. Thus I fully support the #CGMForAll campaign so that others less fortunate than I have access to this life-enhancing technology.
