Who We Are
Diabetes Wairarapa strives to create a friendly and inclusive network of all diabetics, as well as their friends and families across the Wairarapa region. We are a supportive team of people, either diabetics ourselves or family of diabetics covering both types 1 and 2. We understand the diabetic journey is not always simple and can provide support when things get a bit overwhelming or put you in touch with someone if you are needing a specific kind of help relating to your diabetes management. Our Diabetes NZ Wairarapa Committee collectively have over 250 years of experience with both types 1 and 2 Diabetes and are more than willing to share our experiences, tips and tricks we’ve learned along the way on our own journeys. We are here to support you from diagnosis and beyond.
Services
Community Coffee Group held on the last Thursday of every month at the Roseneath Village Hall, High Street, Carterton at 10am. Open to everyone diabetic, their support networks and health professionals.
Youth and Parent Support: This is a work in progress, feel free to contact us and we can arrange something if you are needing support.
Youth Grant: We currently offer a youth grant to those newly diagnosed or in need of financial support to help with the financial pressure of CGMs. Contact us for more information.
