Waikato

Type 1 Diabetes support group TBC. For all type 1. This group also includes medical staff who are type 1 and come as ‘people with type 1 diabetes’.

Hamilton Diabetes support group TBC. For all types of Diabetes and pre-diabetes as well as their relatives.

Family Support: We also run family support meetings with clients and relatives . This is organised when a client makes a request and we see the need and possibility to help.

 

Waiariki

Rotorua

Morning Tea every Thursday morning 10am-12pm at the Arawa Bowling Club, Lytton St, Rotorua. Guest speakers, workshops, sharing and discussion.

Taupō

We are now holding two meetings a month at the Taupo Croquet Club, 3 Rokino Rd, Taupo 10am on the second and the last Monday of each month.

The meetings on the second Monday of the month are similar to those that have always been held – i.e. Guest Speaker when possible, Cup of Tea/Coffee, sharing, and socialisation.

Tauranga

Type 1 Adults Coffee Group. Second Friday of every month. 10am at The Atrium, 252 Otumoetai Road, Otumoetai.

Te Puke Diabetes Support Group. Wednesdays 10am-12pm. Dates for 2024: February 7, May 1, August 7, November 6. St Andrews Church Hall. Cnr Steward and Oxford St, Te Puke.

Mount Maunganui Diabetes Network Group. Wednesdays 10am-12pm. Dates for 2024: March 6, June 5, September 4, December 4. Arataki Community Centre, Zambuk Way, Mount Maunganui.

 

Eastern Bay of Plenty

Whakatane Community Group is held monthly on Saturdays from 10.30am at the Whakatane Library. The upcoming meetings will be held on: Jun 22nd, July 26th, August 17th, Sep 21st, Oct 19th, Nov 23rd.

These are intended to be Workshops for people with pre-D and/or people diagnosed with T2 in the past couple of years or so

Ōpōtiki Community Group meetings currently on hold.

Kawerau Community Group

Meeting on the third Tuesday of each month at the Kawerau Bowling Club

 

Whanganui

Wairarapa

Community Coffee Group held on the last Thursday of every month at the Roseneath Village Hall, High Street, Carterton at 10am. Open to everyone diabetic, their support networks and health professionals.
